How many fitters do I need?
Sometimes the instructions may imply that that two fitters are required, but that is often not the case
Background
When you buy furniture and have a look at the instructions, it is normal for them to say that two fitters are required. The instructions assume that you are someone who rarely assembles furniture, so it is normal for furniture sellers to expect people to work with someone to assemble the furniture. This makes complete sense, as if you only build furniture yourself once in a while, getting someone else to help you is quite common.
Our professional team are able to work alone
The instructions don't assume that the person assembling the furniture is a professional who assembles furniture full time and who quite often has been assembling furniture professionally for some years. In fact, some of our furniture assemblers have worked with us for over a decade! Our team are happy to assemble items alone and are always aware of exactly what items they are going to assemble and they can choose whether they need a second person or not.
Sometimes two fitters will be required
This is quite common when we are assembling large wardrobes where there is not enough ceiling clearance. Usually wardrobes are assembled on their side and then the frame is lifted into place. When this isn't possible, a second fitter may (although not always) be required. If this is the case (or if you specifically request two fitters), the price on your quote will take this into account. We always offer a fixed quote so you don't have to worry about the bill.
Covid-19: We are currently limiting the amount of fitters we usually send to one fitter. This is to reduce the amount of people in a building and to ensure that social distancing is adhered to. If two fitters are required, there may be a delay before we can get to you. Please accept our apology in advance for any convenience.
