Why do I need to pre pay for my furniture?
If you wish for your furniture to be collected then for it must be paid for in full (Premium Service only)
We offer an IKEA collection and delivery service in selected locations. If you wish to use this service then you will need to pay your local service provider in full for all of the furniture. This protects our service providers should there be any issue with payment and our service provider will usually pay for the furniture in cash and leave you with the receipt. That way you can arrange for the IKEA customer service team to manage any technical issues with the furniutre and have a warranty too. If there's any problem due to the construction of the furniutre then the standard terms and conditions apply. 

Pre payment also means our service providers are protected should a customer fail to pay in full. Over the years a small handful of customers have not paid for their furniutre which meant other people had to pay for this through higher prices. It also creates immense stress for our service providers and we feel it is unfair for them to subject to this. Read more about our fair treatment policy for our service providers.
